Hey There Mr. Walkure

so this is my villain for 's comic thinger...he's my flaming gay boy and I love him
before I get rants about either 1) the movie with Tom Cruise called Valkyrie, about Operation Valkyrie, which was the plot to kill Hitler, or 2) the opera Die Walküre by Richard Wagner, I am going to explain why I picked his name. I am a Norse mythology geek, the Valkyrie (derived from the word valkyrja, "chooser of the slain") were parts of a female host charged with bringing selected fallen soldiers to the hall of the slain, the play Die Walküre was written based on stories of the Valkyrie. Because Gabriel's power is to wake the dead and use them as an army, I thought it was appropriate.

Powers: Waking The Dead, no really, fear his rainbow zombies bitch. Basically he can control ghosts, poltergeists, and revive the freshly dead as his minions...that he controls...by singing, good thing he's got some pipes.
Location: A rather nice apartment complex, actually
History: Gabriel Veit was born to Volker and Dalia Veit. Both Volker and Dalia were spiritual and gave their son a typical Christian up-bringing, although they did not exactly force their beliefs on their son, they taught him their values and brought him to church with them and everything. When he was 6 he got a little sister, Emilie. He and his sister were very close, and he was his sister's first word, actually, although it was pronounced oddly by the child. Outside of that not a whole lot is known about his early childhood. It is known it was fairly uneventful, he went to public school, and he moved often. He went to elementary school in Wisconsin, then his family moved and he went to middle school in Kentucky, he then went to the first two years of high school in Georgia, and finished it in Bishop City, where he currently resides. It is assumed his parents, who came over from Germany, spoke German in their house as Gabriel speaks with a German accent.

While in his last year of high school, Gabi came out to his parents, he had already told his sister 3 years prior to that and she had accepted it. His parents were shocked, to say the least, and apologized for any time they felt they may have offended him. He however didn't care, he had come out, and then he moved out. The reason for this being he had recently discovered his power and, being immature-minded as he was, and viewing it as a game, decided he wanted to see what he could do exactly. For a while he was fine, didn't hurt anybody, nobody hurt him, but then he was at a funeral, and accidentally brought the dead body of Dalia, who had died of cancer, back to life. She had an odd rainbow coloured glow about her, and the moment he stopped singing with the rest of the family, she dropped dead again. It didn't take much for them to realize it wasn't just a coincidence. Mud flew and he was slammed by his family, being called a witch.

He did not attend any more family funerals after that, but the bad publicity was still there. The media had been contacted by his family, and he ran off to the other side of the city and fell off the radar for a while. Really he was learning to control his powers, he desperately wanted to show the world he wasn't the bad guy. He wanted to make the world his play ground, yes, but never hurt anyone. Unfortunately most people don't want to be the playthings of an overgrown child, even one who will let them do as they please. He had to raise the dead to defend himself. When he had been honing his abilities, he had disguised himself, so no one knew it was actually Gabriel Veit, and most people had, in the 3 years between the funeral incident and his first real "attack" had forgotten about Veit. He had to name himself when he was hiding, he wanted to be separate from the man-child people saw his other self as. Being a fan of opera, he recalled one by Wagner, there were women in it who told the dead warriors where to go, and thus was born his moniker of Walküre.

In the years that followed his adoption of the nickname, he became a librarian as a day-job, and his intentions were slowly hidden by his actions. To the point that he had made enemies of the local superheroes. He was never a bad seed, but he began to believe he was. Now, at the age of 30, he still believes life is a game, the world is his oyster and playground, he still tries to avoid hurting anybody unless they hurt him first, but he's grown wiser, and darker in his thought process.
Personality: The moment you met him, you'd know Gabriel was hiding something. He's got that air of secrecy about him. He's also very, very flamboyant. He hums, uses 'dear' a lot, and worries way too much about his appearance. He's excitable and energetic. He gets worked up easily and can be a bit over-the top with theatrics. He can get irritating, but he knows when to stop usually. He's one of the types of people you either love to death or can't stand, generally speaking. He's eccentric, but does it well.

As Walküre he isn't much different. His social awareness is diminished, and he out right sings. The dead only come to specific notes and words, which he has learned in his years of practice. He's less concerned with his looks, and less talkative in this mindset. His childish nature is played up as are his anarchistic views. His speech pattern is very different here as well. He sounds less mature and more like the stereotypical gay guy here than he does otherwise.

Quirks: He has a German accent, it's not heavy, but it is notable, it's not known if it's natural or not.

Appearance: Gabi has chin-length white hair that is combed down and straightened so as there are no fly aways most of the time. This hair frames a fairly soft yet strong face, kept clean and hairless and very professional-looking. His eyes are round and dark, but hidden behind rose-tinted glasses, not because he needs them to see, but because he likes them, and he's light-sensitive. His head sits atop a lanky frame. Despite being of a thin figure, his height makes him rather imposing to stand before. He wears vibrant colours most often, even his suits are some colour or another, none are black, grey, white, or even brown. His favourite outfit consists of shiny lavender pants and a black long-sleeved shirt with some converse or platform shoes. His Walküre costume reflects a lot of his everyday personality, too. When in costume, he has orange goggles to shield his eyes, and he makes his hair messy and silver with temporary dye. His costume is simple, a tie-dye gray drape that he wears only sometimes over a black shirt that has a metal armour chest plate that has the shape of a corset, he has matching silver arm bands. Beneath this, he has a lavender skirt-like cloth over loose black pants worn over platform boots.
